Kilo

A decimal prefix in the International System of Units (SI) that represents a factor of 10^3, or one thousand. It is used to form multiples of units, such as kilometer for 1000 meters or kilogram for 1000 grams. The symbol for kilo is 'k', which is always written in lowercase.
