A prefix in the International System of Units (SI) denoting a factor of 10^15. It is used to form decimal multiples of SI units, indicating a very large quantity. For example, one petameter (Pm) is equal to 10^15 meters, and one petajoule (PJ) is equal to 10^15 joules.
