Material stability

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013263

The ability of a material, such as a reference material or reagent, to maintain its specified properties within defined limits over a stated period. This property is evaluated under specific storage and transport conditions, including temperature, humidity, and light exposure. The expiration date on a certified reference material indicates the end of the period for which its stability is guaranteed.
