Pharmacodynamics

The study of the biochemical and physiological effects of drugs on the body and their mechanisms of action. It describes how a drug interacts with its target receptors, enzymes, or other cellular components to produce a therapeutic or toxic effect. This field examines the relationship between drug concentration at the site of action and the resulting response.
