Phase I clinical studies

The initial stage of human testing for a new drug, primarily focusing on safety, dosage range, and pharmacokinetics in a small group of healthy volunteers. These studies assess how the drug is absorbed, distributed, metabolized, and excreted by the body. They are not designed to evaluate the drug's efficacy for a specific condition.
