Phase III clinical studies

Large-scale clinical trials conducted on hundreds to thousands of patients to confirm the efficacy and monitor adverse reactions of a new drug in a real-world setting. These studies compare the new treatment to existing therapies or a placebo to establish its overall benefit-risk profile. Successful completion of these trials is generally required for regulatory approval.
