Phase 0 clinical studies

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008731

Exploratory studies conducted early in drug development with very limited human exposure to the investigational drug. These studies involve administering subtherapeutic doses to a small number of subjects to gather preliminary pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data. They are designed to accelerate drug development by identifying promising drug candidates earlier.
