Preclinical candidate

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009358

A chemical compound or biological entity that has demonstrated promising activity in early-stage research and is selected for further rigorous testing in animal models before potential human trials. This stage involves extensive studies on pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and toxicology to assess safety and efficacy. Successful preclinical candidates may then advance to investigational new drug (IND) applications.
