Phenolic polymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008753
A polymer derived from the condensation reaction of phenols with aldehydes, most commonly formaldehyde. These polymers are characterized by repeating units containing aromatic rings linked by methylene or ether bridges. They are known for their high thermal stability, chemical resistance, and mechanical strength, and are widely used as thermosetting resins in adhesives, coatings, and composites.
