Primary data
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009425
The set of original, unprocessed experimental values obtained directly from a measurement process before any calculations, corrections, or statistical treatments are applied. These raw figures represent the direct output of an instrument or observation, such as instrument readings, titres, or peak areas. For example, in a solubility experiment, the primary data would include the measured masses of solute and solvent and the equilibrium temperature, not the calculated solubility value.
