Primary crystallization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009424
The initial phase of crystallization in a polymer melt or solution, where the first ordered structures begin to form from a disordered state. This process involves the nucleation and growth of crystallites, leading to the development of a semi-crystalline morphology. It is distinct from secondary crystallization, which involves further ordering within existing crystalline regions or the crystallization of previously amorphous material.
