Epitaxial crystallization
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004036
The process where a polymer crystallizes on the surface of a substrate, with the crystal orientation of the polymer being influenced by the crystallographic orientation of the substrate. This phenomenon results in a highly ordered arrangement of polymer chains. It is often observed in thin polymer films deposited on crystalline surfaces.
