Avrami equation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-001032

A mathematical model describing the kinetics of phase transformations, particularly crystallization in polymers and metals. It relates the fraction of transformed material to time, incorporating parameters for nucleation rate and growth dimensionality. The equation is often used to analyze isothermal crystallization data obtained from differential scanning calorimetry.
