Rehm-Weller equation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010128

An empirical equation that describes the rate constant for photoinduced electron transfer reactions in solution, relating it to the free energy change of the reaction. It accounts for both the intrinsic electron transfer rate and the diffusion-controlled limit. This equation is widely used in photochemistry to analyze electron transfer kinetics.
