Radiative transfer equation

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009845

A mathematical expression that describes the propagation of radiant energy through a medium, accounting for absorption, emission, and scattering processes. This equation quantifies how the intensity of radiation changes as it travels through a material. It is widely applied in fields such as atmospheric science, astrophysics, and photochemistry to model light transport.
