In-scattering
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005892
The process by which radiation is scattered into a specific direction or volume element from other directions. This phenomenon contributes to the total radiation field within a medium, altering the path and energy distribution of photons or other particles. It is a component of the radiative transfer equation, alongside absorption and out-scattering.
