Out-scattering
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-008375
The process by which radiation is removed from a beam due to scattering events, where photons or particles are deflected from their original path by interactions with matter. This phenomenon contributes to the attenuation of a radiation beam as it propagates through a medium. It is a component of the radiative transfer equation, alongside absorption and in-scattering.
