Scattering albedo
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010560
The ratio of the scattering coefficient to the total extinction coefficient for a medium. It represents the fraction of radiation that is scattered rather than absorbed when interacting with a particle or medium. A value of 1 indicates pure scattering, while 0 indicates pure absorption.
