Pseudo-copolymer
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009634
An irregular polymer built from a single kind of monomer that nevertheless shows a variety of structural features, such as repeat units that differ in configuration or in the way they are joined, so its structure is better described in copolymer terms. A statistical pseudo-copolymer is one in which the sequence of configurational units follows known statistical laws. A regular polymer from one AB-type monomer is an ordinary homopolymer, not a pseudo-copolymer.
