Rotaxane constitutional unit
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010434
A molecular entity within a rotaxane that retains the characteristic interlocked structure, comprising a macrocyclic component mechanically interlocked with a linear threaded component. This unit can be a repeating unit in a polymer or a terminal unit. It is the fundamental structural motif of a rotaxane.
