Sequential extraction
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010762
A multi-step procedure that uses a series of reagents to selectively dissolve and separate different chemical forms or phases of an analyte from a solid sample. Each step targets a specific fraction, such as exchangeable, reducible, or oxidizable species. This method provides information on the mobility and bioavailability of elements in environmental samples.
