Synthetic biopolymer

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011768

A polymer that is synthesized artificially but possesses structural or functional characteristics similar to those found in naturally occurring biopolymers. These materials are designed to mimic biological systems or interact with them in specific ways. Examples include synthetic polypeptides or polynucleotides created for biomedical applications.
