Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012775
A non-SI unit of time representing the duration of one Earth orbit around the Sun. This period is not precisely constant due to astronomical variations, but for scientific purposes, a conventional value is often adopted. The Julian year, for example, is defined as exactly 365.25 days, or 31 557 600 seconds.
