Cohort

A group of individuals who share a common characteristic or experience within a defined period, such as birth year, exposure to a chemical, or enrollment in a study. These groups are often followed over time in epidemiological studies to observe the incidence of disease or other outcomes. Cohort studies are a type of observational study design.
