Cohort analysis

The statistical examination of disease rates or other health outcomes within a specific group of individuals (a cohort) who share a common characteristic or experience over a defined period. This method tracks changes in health status or exposure effects as the cohort ages or progresses through time. It is distinct from a cohort study, which typically focuses on comparing outcomes between exposed and unexposed groups.
