Jumper

A small electrical connector used to close or open an electrical circuit on a circuit board. It consists of a plastic block with conductive pins that fit over two or more exposed header pins, altering the hardware's configuration or settings. Jumpers are commonly found on older motherboards or hard drives to set master/slave configurations.
