RISC

Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-001033

A computer architecture that uses a small, highly focused set of simple instructions, each designed to execute in a single clock cycle. This design contrasts with Complex Instruction Set Computing (CISC) architectures, which use a larger set of more complex instructions. Processors based on RISC principles, such as ARM, are common in mobile devices due to their power efficiency.
