ROM

A type of non-volatile computer memory that retains its stored information even when not powered. Data is permanently written to ROM during manufacturing or programmed once, making it suitable for storing firmware or boot instructions that rarely change. Unlike RAM, the contents of ROM cannot be easily modified or overwritten by the user.
