Trinitron

A brand name for a line of aperture grille cathode ray tube (CRT) displays, primarily televisions and computer monitors, developed by Sony. It used a single electron gun with three cathodes and a vertically aligned aperture grille to produce brighter and sharper images. Trinitron displays were known for their flat screens and superior color accuracy compared to shadow mask CRTs.
