Active-matrix
Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-000021
A display technology where each pixel is individually controlled by its own transistor. This allows for faster refresh rates, wider viewing angles, and better color reproduction compared to passive-matrix displays. Thin-film transistor (TFT) liquid-crystal displays (LCDs) are a common type of active-matrix display found in modern monitors, televisions, and mobile devices.
