Video card

An expansion card or integrated circuit that generates a feed of output images for a display. This component processes graphical data from the computer's CPU and converts it into a signal that a monitor, projector, or other display can understand. Modern video cards, also called graphics cards, contain a dedicated graphics processing unit (GPU) and their own video memory to handle complex rendering tasks for gaming, video editing, and design software.
