Wi-Fi Protected Access II, a security protocol for wireless networks that superseded WPA and WEP, offering stronger encryption and authentication. It uses the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) for data encryption, which is considered more secure than TKIP used in WPA. WPA2 is mandated for all Wi-Fi certified products since 2006.
