1. The gas given off by substances that are solids or liquids at ordinary atmospheric pressure and temperatures.
2. Vapor is the gaseous phase of any substance that is liquid or solid at atmospheric temperatures and pressures. Steam is an example of a vapor.
3. The gaseous phase of a substance that is a liquid at normal temperature and pressure.
4. Gaseous form of a substance or mixture released from its liquid or solid state.
5. Gaseous phase of a substance ordinarily liquid or solid at 25ºC and 760 mm Hg. Vapors enter the air as liquids evaporate.
