Achromaticity

The property of an optical system, such as a lens or prism, that exhibits a reduced or corrected level of chromatic aberration. This quality is achieved when the system transmits or focuses light without separating it into its constituent colors. The degree of achromaticity is quantified by the residual focal length difference between specified wavelengths across the visible spectrum.
