Prismatic colours
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004512
The distinct colors produced when white light is dispersed by a prism, separating it into its constituent wavelengths. These colors typically appear in the order of the visible spectrum: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. This phenomenon demonstrates the wavelength-dependent refractive index of the prism material.
