ACR
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-000082
A performance metric in telecommunications that compares the attenuation of a signal to the level of far-end crosstalk (FEXT) from other pairs in the same cable. The Attenuation to Crosstalk Ratio (ACR) indicates the signal-to-noise margin, with a higher value signifying better performance and more available bandwidth. For a cabling link to pass certification testing, such as for Category 6, the ACR value must remain positive across the entire tested frequency range.
