Ballrace
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-000407
A type of bearing that uses spherical rolling elements to maintain separation between its moving parts. It consists of two grooved rings, called races, that contain the balls and facilitate their movement, reducing rotational friction and supporting radial or axial loads. The precision and finish of the races and balls determine the bearing's performance characteristics, including its speed rating and load capacity.
