Bearing

A mechanical component that constrains relative motion to only the desired motion, and reduces friction between moving parts. Bearings support rotating or sliding shafts and transfer loads, enabling efficient operation of machinery. They are classified by the type of motion allowed, such as plain, rolling-element, or fluid bearings.
