Bentwood

Wood that has been shaped into curves by steaming or soaking it until pliable, then bending it around a form and allowing it to dry. This process creates strong, continuous curves without cutting and joining multiple pieces. Beech and ash are frequently used for bentwood furniture due to their flexibility.
