Boule

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-000715

A method of sawing a log where the entire log is sawn into parallel planks without turning it, keeping the original relationship of the boards. The planks are then stacked in the order they were cut, allowing for continuous grain matching across multiple pieces. This technique is often used to create large, matched panels for furniture or cabinetry.
