Broadcast radiation

The emission of electromagnetic waves from an antenna or other source into the surrounding environment. This energy propagates outwards and can be received by suitable receivers within its range. In radio communication, broadcast radiation carries information from a transmitter to multiple receivers simultaneously, such as in radio or television broadcasting.
