Absorptance

The fraction of incident electromagnetic radiation that is absorbed by a material, converting it into other forms of energy, such as heat. It is a dimensionless quantity, ranging from 0 (no absorption) to 1 (complete absorption). Absorptance depends on the wavelength of the radiation and the material's properties.
