Hyperlens

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002949

A type of superlens that uses metamaterials to overcome the diffraction limit of conventional optics, allowing for imaging of features smaller than the wavelength of light. It achieves this by converting evanescent waves, which carry sub-wavelength information, into propagating waves. Hyperlenses are a subject of active research in nanotechnology and advanced imaging.
