Broke

Paper that is rejected during the manufacturing process due to defects or trim waste, which is then re-pulped and recycled back into the papermaking system. This material includes trimmings from the edges of the paper web, off-specification rolls, or sheets damaged during handling. Recycling broke reduces raw material costs and minimizes waste in the mill.
