Paper clay
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004124
A ceramic material created by blending processed cellulose fibers, such as paper pulp, into a clay body. The addition of fibers enhances the clay's green strength, reduces shrinkage, and allows for greater flexibility and repairability during the unfired stage. This material is often used for sculptural work and intricate forms due to its improved workability and reduced cracking.
