Paper airplane
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-004123
A toy glider made from a folded sheet of paper, used in educational and recreational contexts to demonstrate basic aerodynamic principles. The construction and flight of different designs illustrate concepts like lift, drag, thrust, and gravity, as well as the effects of wing shape, center of gravity, and control surfaces. Although a simple model, its flight characteristics are governed by the same physical laws that apply to full-scale aircraft, making it a practical tool for introductory aerodynamics instruction.
