Greenbody

An unfired ceramic object that has been formed but not yet subjected to heat treatment. At this stage, the clay is dry and brittle, having lost all its physical water, but it has not undergone the chemical changes of firing. Greenbody is extremely fragile and must be handled with care before bisque firing.
