Chin

The lower forward section of an aircraft's fuselage, particularly in helicopters or certain fixed-wing designs, that houses equipment or provides aerodynamic shaping. This area can contain radar systems, landing gear components, or provide additional cabin space. The chin fairing on some aircraft reduces drag and protects internal systems.
