Chimney flashing

A system of sheet metal components installed at the intersection of a chimney and a roof to prevent water penetration. It consists of base flashing, step flashing, counter flashing, and sometimes cricket flashing, all working together to divert water away from the chimney structure. These components are typically made from aluminum, copper, or galvanized steel.
