Step flashing
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-005647
Individual pieces of flashing material bent at a 90-degree angle and woven into the courses of shingles or other roofing materials. This method creates a watertight seal where a roof surface meets a vertical wall, preventing water from penetrating the building envelope. Each piece overlaps the one below it, directing water down and off the roof.
